When drinking PtY I noticed a very heavy malt backbone (which I loved). This seems to be the case with many of the so called "triple IPAs". Which imperial IPA's do you find the maltiest?

120 Minute, although technically I don't think that's a DIPA. (Don't ask me what it is.)
After that, Avery Maharaja and Burton Baton come immediately to mind.
Be warned though: None of these beers taste anything like Pliny the Younger.

Not that I find PtY to be a particularly malty TIPA, but if you're looking for an over the top, sweet, malty TIPA, Devil Dancer from Founders should do the trick. I absolutely hate the stuff and for exactly that reason (sweet and malty).

Any of the DFH (Immort Ale, 90/120 min or Burton Baton), but the Immort and 120 are more Barleywine than anything else.

If you count 120min then that one, its super malty. Really a barleywine though.

The last time I had HopSlayer, it was alot maltier than I last remembered it, perhaps a little too malty for my liking!

90 Minute from DFH would be on the list of maltiest imperial IPAs.

Bootleggers Knuckle Sandwich is sticky sweet with a beautiful hop bloom. Probably my favorite IIPA

Arcadia Hopmouth. More malt forward by design, an Imperial English IPA which displays a tremendous balance between the Maris Otter and the American hops. This is not usually what I reach for with the style but I enjoy it as a change of pace DIPA.

Anderson Valley Imp IPA was disappointingly malty.

I had Palate Wrecker last night, and they used a ton of malt to offset the 150 IBU's. They did a good job of making it drinkable.

Echoing some earlier posts, 90 minute, Maharaja, and Unearthly are all nearly undrinkably sweet and malty to me...

Um, how has no one said Southern Tier Unearthly yet?!? My sweet tooth loves malty DIPA/imp IPA, and that one is one of the maltreat I have had. But if you don't get one that is decently (2-3 months) Fresh, you won't get enough hop love.
