Does anyone know if FW will brew Maltose Falcons again? I've put up a few trades for it but getting crickets. Just curious if I should pack it in until next year or if they don't plan to brew again. Thanks!
http://www.firestonebeer.com/beers/products/maltose-falcon "This beer is ready to drink now, but will stand up to some time aging in a cool dark cellar."
what sort of stuff you putting up as bait? Remember, it was a Black Friday brewery/bottleworks release only. So while everyone was chasing dat BCBS dreams, Firestone had their release and it didn't make it that far.
I actually ended up getting a hit for it. I gave forces unseen and 3 different IIPAs (7 total) for Sucaba & maltose. We both are throwing in an extra bomber as well
I'll just toss my two cents in there. The brewery has made noises about making it again, but no idea when and where. I believe part of it will be going into the next anniversary beer as well.
That's not saying much given they make a lot of stuff to put into their anniversary stuff that never gets seen in a bottle. That said, I did see some PNC barrels last time i was at barrelworks, so shit, if they could remake that, anything is possible.
Drank my last PNC last night, never got to try Maltose, funny how some people think it sucked. If anybody in SB has one I'd be willing to trade something in person July 10th after 6pm. Hit me up!!
Just drank a Maltose last night. Didn't like it when it was released, boozy and uninspiring, but it is tasting much better now. Barrels elements have all come together, really does taste like a brownie.
Well if you ever make it barrelworks its been on tap there every time I pass through. Had one today on my wh back north from la Much better than fresh for me!
Hey there. I just had Maltose Falcon on tap 2 days ago at the FSW Barrelworks location. I was actually surprised to see it available. It was odd (but I was pleasantly surprised) because they had 8-9 different beers available there that weren't listed on their website as being on the beer menu at that location.
Barrelworks has a lot of stuff that just shows up and has... well, very little description or website presence.
Unfortunately, the FW website is mostly useless for availability at any of their locations, since it updates so sporadically. Your best bet if you want to know what to expect at Barrelworks is to check Jeffers' Instagram (fw_bblmeister). He usually posts a picture of the board on Thursday or Friday.
