In a hurry didn't check the born on date. Got home and looked 12/20/13! Drinking one now, not too bad but am a first timer with this beer so not sure what it should be like. Anyone have input? 7 months too long for any type beer?

If you like it...who cares about anything else? Drink away!

Just wondering if the taste is off since I am experimenting with new lager type beer. I can't tell being newbie.

7 months, if it was stored cold, definitely not "off," maybe different from a fresh can. Honestly the only way you'll know is to try to find a fresh can and compare.

This store gets lots of traffic so didn't bother to check but will from now on. They turn over Dale's every 3 or 4 days so assumed the Pils didn't sit. Thanks!

As for your other question about any other type of beer, 7 months is too old for some (most?) for IPAs and other hoppy beers. Other beers? Just really depends on storage conditions, for the most part. Many complain about the lack of fresh German beers, for example, saying that they come over old, stale, and don't taste anything like they do back there. So most beer is best drank fresh, but certain beers hold up well over time. Look at some of the posts in this forum about people asking what beers to age or not and you'll get a good sense for what most think.

I'm still drinking some that I picked up in Colorado in October. It still taste like it did fresh. Its been in the beer fridge at 44 deg and in the dark.
