For those in GR/stopped in to Founders - what's your .02 on Mango Magnifico? I thought it was unpleasantly warm, habenero-wise. I'm no grandma -- I like hot stuff all well and good, but I didn't find that it married well with the mango side. ABV was well hidden, but soon as my glass was finished I went straight for the '12 BWB and didn't look back.

I didn't think Founders, even with their accolades, would be able to pull such a beer off. I haven't had it, but I can't picture it being something many would be in love with.

Any chance of finding this in Chicago the next couple days? I'm only in the city til Tuesday afternoon then I head back to Texas and I'd love to try some of this.

I haven't had it yet, but I've only heard great things. Can't wait to try it tonight, sounds amazing to me.

Thought it was pretty fantastic. As it warmed the mango came out punching with delicious sweetness and the habanero was a pleasant compliment. The habanero wasn't super flavorful or especially spicy but it left a nice little tingle on the finish. But I'm going to try brewing this beer but Maxwell Street Style with Mango and red chilli pepper instead.

This is one recent Founders that I really enjoyed. The habanero was warm in the finish and built up with time. The mango flavor balanced the habanero. Alcohol was well hidden. Probably not for everyone, but I like it.

I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it, and am a little sad that I've made a tradition of sending my brother in Florida my second bottle of ticketed releases...I wouldn't mind keeping both bottles! In general I thought it was unique and well-done.

I doubt you will have any trouble finding bottles on shelves. I still see Doom from time to time.

Where at? I'm one of the few that actually enjoy this beer, especially now that it's got some age on it.

I saw several bottles of it at one store in particular in Kalamazoo a few weeks ago. DM if you want to know where.

I had it at the brewery today and was surprised by the beer. I really liked it. Mango up front with medium hotness at the end.

    propyl alcohol. . . . .

Precisely what I think every time I see those letters...

I suppose my longtime hobby shows through more than my more recently taken up hobby of craft beer.

Some kind of addiction/fascination with toxic solvents?

Yeah, now that you mention it.

    Back to topic::::

They said to expect this beer in their markets today, Monday the 5th..... Does that mean that today will be the first day it is shipped out from the brewery? Or did they start shipping it out end of last week and distributors already have it??

I'm assuming the latter, but wondered if anyone knows for sure?

As others said, Doom was pretty easy to get for a few months...Why would this be any different?
Pretty silly to already be asking for it in a trade when you have not even given yer local market a chance to get it.

Orange you gonna feel dumb when you paid shipping etc. when you see it on your stores shelves a week after you traded for it?

From the person I talked to today(beer distributor in Grand Rapids area ), this will be harder to get than Doom as Founders made a lot more Doom than this.

They're sitting around without anyone buying them, yet you don't want to say where publicly because people will run there and buy them out?
