Mango Mama

    DLLager and Mothman - thanks for the info! Fresh will definitely be what I try next - just need to get a good price on a case of mangoes at the right time I guess, not sure that the puree is working as well as I'd hoped - there are puree 'floaties' atop the carboy, the dried slices did add a very subtle mango note to my sour though.

    Do either of you (or anyone else) know WHEN they add them? I typically add fruit after the initial fermentation is done - similar to when I (and most others) dry hop - I assume it is similar with them but welcome any info.

    Finally, while I have not sought out any MM clone recipes, if you know their hops that'd be useful too. My current IPA with the puree is Citra and Sorachi (mango and lemon I suppose) with a bit of Cascade (minor grapefruit n pine note).
