BA’s I searched a number of threads and got some good advice as well as been to NY a few times but I’m still daunted by the number of options and seeking your advice. Apologies in advance for the long post.

I’m staying at Fifth Avenue and 37th Street. I’m primarily into Hazy IPAs, Stouts, Barley Wines and Lagers although I’ll drink any style except not a sour fan. Love to sample and like to do small taster pours. No car, willing to Uber though as long as its not a crazy distance.

Friday and Saturday I’m staying in general area of hotel looking for a dinner spot with a good tap list Friday and on Saturday just good beer bars. I’ve been to Barcade, Haymaker and Beer Run several times so hoping for something different.

Then Sunday I’ve got an event in Brooklyn at the Brooklyn bridge that will end around 3pm. I’d like to stay in that section of Brooklyn and hit a few breweries. Other Half seems the obvious choice but not sure if it would be super busy on a Sunday afternoon. If Other Half is the move then probably do FestBier as well since so close.

Otherwise considering Grimm and Interboro that are very close to each other. Same question on Grimm as Other Half whether it will be packed on a Sunday afternoon.

Open to any other options. I’ve done Transmitter before. Never tried anywhere else.

Without getting too into it, you’ll have the Ginger Man right next to you. Go there, you won’t be disappointed.

And, I’m assuming you meant Folksbier. Anything I’ve had of theirs is good.

Neither should be very crazy on a Sunday but there have been times when it had a larger crowd then expected. I would also suggest if you hit Grimm up to take the light walk over to the Well, that bar never disappoints.

If you're by the Brooklyn Bridge at 3pm I would stick to OH/Folksbier/Threes for afternoon of brewery hops hopping. That cluster of breweries are 4 stops away on the F. Grimm/Interboro are not NYC close by. You can do OH/FB/3s all on foot and enjoy walking around Brooklyn.

I’ll second Ginger Man as it is real close and they do flights during non busy hours (or they used to - I havent been in about 2 years). Also Folksbier is a must.

As for food in the general area of your hotel, I’d recommend Keens Steakhouse if you’ve never been. It’s pricey but absolutely worth a one-time splurge. They don’t have an extensive tap list but you won’t care once you are done eating.

If you are looking for food in a different area of Manhattan just let us know. I have a ton of suggestions for restaurants south of 14th.

Given your location, I'll repeat what others have said - Ginger Man is a must. I'm chiming in though because you seem concerned about a place being busy. Ginger Man on a Friday will probably be very busy when people get out of work. It's an ideal choice during non-peak hours. Fortunately, you're so close that it'll be easy for you to take a look and go elsewhere if it's too crowded.

Thanks everyone. Going to do Other Half / Threes / Folksbier Sunday and then check out Ginger Man or elsewhere depending on taplists the other nights.
