Hey guys. My friend and I were exploring brewing this delicious sounding beverage. Has anyone ever done this before? And if so, how was it? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Maple has great flavor however it very hard to get the flavor into beer because it ferments out. They say use grade b maple syrup and you might get some maple flavor. Pumpkin is very similar. However you can roast a pumpkin the night before and put it in your mash. The flavor of the pumpkin really comes from the spices you would put in pumpkin pie. Your idea of a maple pumpkin does sound amazing!

There is a pure maple extract that you could try, maybe added to the secondary or to the keg or bottling bucket. I think most of them have alcohol in the ingredients so It might be ok to do then. I've never tried it so:rolling_eyes:

I'd go easy with a light-sided brown ale, or an amber ale that does't muddle the spice or maple flavor. You'll probably need to keg this one.

That method really only works well with oily/fatty foods, with something like maple I wouldnt think it would work well as I doubt the alcohol would separate from the syrup, thanks for the shout though

to the OP, fenugreek has the exact same flavor as maple and is actually what they use to the make the flavoring and artificial maple flavored syrup. I would add some grade B syrup with a healthy dose of fenugreek, along with a touch of crystal (some flavors really need the sweetness to taste normal)

Some ideas sound great on paper, but don't work out so great in the real world. However, if you can pull it off, I'd like to give your brew a proper review. I promise to be fair and balanced, just like fox news.
