I hope Cuppa Oreo comes back in 2020. That beer was incredible.

Here's to hoping that Raspberry Shakey can live up to Strawberry. As Milkshake IPAs go, that one is easily the best I've had in a long time.

Let’s hope sooner than later. Last three times I’ve tried to go its been at capacity. Today was especially egregious. Guy apologized for being at capacity at 3pm. Said they’ve been full since 1pm. Their space sucks so hard

Only time I've been here was in summer 2018. First thing I said to my buddy was, "This place is a disaster of a layout. I'm shocked we got a table." When we left 2 beers later it was standing room only and super awkward to get around inside there.

Well, you got your wish. Ask and you shall receive!

On another note, both beers from the last release are stellar in my book. Fizzle Drizzle - Strawberry Rhubarb is a great fruited sour, and they are back on their milkshake IPA game after the slight hiccup with the orange one. Mr. Shakey Raspberry doesn't de-throne Peach or Strawberry, but it's damn good

I LOVE NG Strawberry Rhubarb. Highlight LOVE. But I think Fizzle Drizzle SR might actually be better!!! Blasphemy. Or... maybe it’s the higher abv???

    Go back to bed!

Definitely blasphemy. You should chug a Baphomet in a church parking lot when it comes out this week.

Maplewood is coming to the Madison market in a month and a half or so, per the brewery's booth at Beer and Cheese Fest this last Saturday. (It hit Milwaukee last fall.)

The property at 4058 N. Milwaukee Ave., 60641 recently became available.
But they'll have to get the approval of the 45th Ward Alderman, which according to its previous occupant, is onerous and secretive. :stuck_out_tongue:

I wonder what will open up in the old Fischman's spot. Now that the space is completely redone it has to be an attractive spot for a bar/restaurant. I know the location leaves a lot to be desired. Anything more than a couple blocks from a train in the city and you're looking at a desert for foot traffic.

Any thoughts on DDH Sabro Tecmo Bowl? Besides the awesome name.

Pretty excited to see the non-contract brewed Maplewood hops downstate for the first time. Hope that's a sign of more to come. Only other one I've had is Big Pulpy and I found that as singles in the burbs last summer.

Why is this thread so dead yet I know tomorrow I will need to be in line 2 hours before open to even get a chance at cans?

The Facebook event has over a thousand people marked as "Interested" or "Going". That's never a true indication of what to expect, but tomorrow is definitely going to be a shit show.

Is that how early you had to be there for the Hazelnut and BA releases? (I’m not contesting your point, just curious if that’s how these have gone historically) I think it’s nuts to line up that early for cans of this one, but that’s just me.

The BA release was a bit different, as nobody really knew what to expect. I had to pick up my fiancee in Elmhurst that day at noon, so I had to make sure I was first in line, and out of there as soon as they opened.

That being said, I can tell you when I showed up at 7:45, there were about 8 people waiting in cars. All of them got out, and lined up behind me when I started waiting. It really started filling up around 9-9:30, and most people who showed up at 10 or later didn't get cans if I remember correctly.

Prior non ba releases of cuppa are kind of irrelevant now because BA cuppa cinnamon brought on all the shitlords.

I showed up right at open for cuppa hazelnut and was one of the first 50 so I got a mug. I went to PB Hype release and got there about 1 hour before open and I was probably 100th or so in line.

With tomorrow being an anniversary event, I would be willing to bet if I showed up at 8:00 I would see 20 or so people in line.
