Gotta be Revolution on Kedzie. Only one I can think of you could walk to from Maplewood.

    EDIT: maybe he means Metropolitan?

Yes, Metropolitan. Both Revolutions are close enough as well, but would be more than a 10 minute walk it is to Metro.

Edit: whether you prefer one brewery's beer to the other, I'm just saying from a taproom perspective, Metro is one of the best in the city (and only getting better with the outdoor areas).

Oh yea. Metro is easily the best taproom in the state. You also have beer temple just down the road and Owen and Engine in between those.

Yeah the whole "once the line is through, no limit" is stupid IMO. I'm fine with letting people circle back through in line (I did this) but they should be using their best judgement. Nobody left in line and a guy wants to buy 4 instead of 2? sure. Nobody left in line and a guy wants to buy 20? Yeah he's going to flip those 10 minutes later on facebook.

The shittiest part about them not giving the full allotment to all of you up front is that you had to decide if getting back in an hour + long line to get another one or get in line to go to the tap room. It is crazy to me that a guy who got there at fucking 4:30!!!! got a 2 pack and still had to probably wait 30 minutes to get inside. Meanwhile, people that showed up at 11:00 sharp got in line, got a 2 pack, got back in a 4 minute long line and got another.

Pretty sure I heard them talking about a second location while we were in line.

Not to mention Kuma's Corner and D-Men. Coupled with The Beer Temple and Revolution's Brewery, it is my "Chicago Ground Zero" for beer. Still haven't hit Metropolitan, though plan on rectifying soon. I have enjoyed their pours I've had so far.

I don't ever recall seeing the 5oz sampler glasses for sale in the lounge, but I could be wrong. I know they usually have the pint version or a stem glass available though.

I was wondering how today’s Cuppa release was going to go since it’s a weekday. Haven’t seen anyone post anywhere, so was hoping it was because it was pretty laid back. Decided to make the trip over and glass I did. No line outside, easy in, easy out. There’s even a couple tables available. Just a head’s up in case anyone was wondering.

Seemed pretty laid back. I stopped by at 12:30, no line for to go, in and out quick. There’s was a small line for the taproom.

My friend stopped in there a few weeks or so ago and grabbed me some beers and the taster. They were for sale then, so I'd imagine they still are in the taproom unless they are out of stock.
