Thirded. They captured all the dimensions. I kind of hate that pastry sour is now a category but if they can be nearly this good regularly, I have no problem with it.

Steamless is fantastic. Super silky smooth but not sweet, aroma and flavor are out of this world. Might be my favorite beer this year.

The Lounge has Cuppa Breakfast on for the weekend, with limit 1 Crowley’s to go. I’ve only had a few variants, but have to say this is my favorite so far. Thick and syrupy like the others, but probably the most balanced for all of the adjuncts. Nothing overwhelms the others.

How's it compare to Mornin Delight?

    I’m not going there.

But I will say, I’ve personally found MD way too maple heavy. So I don’t enjoy the way most people do. Cuppa is more balanced overall, which is why I enjoy it.

Alright. I had a stout at Corridor a while back when Roger was there and it wasn't great but these Cuppas are getting great untappd scores.

Good to hear they're exploring a larger space. They've totally outgrown their current taproom. Twice I tried going and it was just too packed and we left without ordering any beer.

I've been waiting for them to take over the old Ale Syndicate space on Diversey... Seemed like a natural fit for them a block away. Definitely good to hear though.

it's comical how badly that space is laid out.

they somehow found a way to fit the least amount of people into a taproom yet also make the wait for beer annoyingly long

That would be RIGHT next to Old Irving, correct?

Might be good for both businesses...plenty of folks might want to hit both up in a night if they're within walking distance.

Yeah, looks to be just 2 blocks east and across the street. Definitely would be good for business, and walking distance from the Montrose blue line stop.

Yes please, as this is pretty close to me and not too far off the blue line. Haven't been able to visit Maplewood as often as I would like given its current location. Want to pick up so many of their releases but cant manage to swing by.

This would be great since that pocket of "between Logan and Roscoe" isn't really all that accessible. But for local Chicagolanders and out-of-towners like moi, it would be great to have a blue line stop, to go along with the usual blue line Revolution stop, coming into (or leaving) town.
So, I hope they pick that location on Montrose! Any developments? Looking forward to getting back into (if of course, the weird triangle taproom space isn't jammed) Maplewood in mid-August.
    Cheers.

The Moon Fruit and Mr. Shakey Strawberry release was great yesterday. Moon Fruit is still a top-notch, very balanced, New England IPA with a perfect hop bite for what I'm looking for. This Mr. Shakey is also the best Milkshake IPA I've had from the Chicagoland area (sorry Hop Butcher).

Since turning my girlfriend on to New England IPAs, and with Maplewood serving food, I feel like we've been there too much over the last few weeks. She mainly has the slushies, and whatever the newest NE Style is, but she left with a 4-pack of the Mr. Shakey for herself last night.

Wow, that's some high praise, assuming you've liked the Blazed Orange milkshake, and if you've had the Strawberry Marbles from More. I'm thinking I need to get over to try it out - any idea what the can situation was???

Blazed Orange is fantastic, and I have had most of the Marbles releases (I'll admit that I've missed a couple). The Mr. Shakey Strawberry honestly was the best of the bunch, and I thought it beat the brakes off of Strawberry Marbles.

We left around 6:15 last night, and I still saw Moon Fruit and Mr. Shakey in the cooler, and both offerings are on draft as well. I believe they usually post on Twitter when they sell out, and I have yet to see that post.
