I'm sure many people will have bracket pools/BIF, but I actually enjoy this format. BTW if you'd be interested in an another MM BIF called a "Pick 8 Format" I may run one if there's interest. On to the details:

    Pool Rules:

You pick one team to win each day of the tournament (the deadline is when the first game of the day starts). If they lose (or you forget to pick), you are eliminated. Once a team has been used, you can not use them again. Only the main 64 teams that make up a standard bracket are included (i.e. the play-in games, or 'first four', are NOT included). Tie breaker is the total seeds of all the teams you picked. Again this is each DAY Thursday-Sunday, Thursday-Sunday, then Saturday/Monday not each ROUND.

    Beer Rules / Stakes:

    1. You must have a minimum of five trades @ 100%.
    2. 66oz of 90+ rated beer that is out of the winners distro, limited, beer you'd like to receive, etc.
    3. Ship by May 15th. (Tournament will end first week of April)
    4. Express your interest below and I will send you the invite and password. I'm using Runyourpool.com
    5. IF YOU HAVE A PICK IN AT THE DEADLINE ON DAY 1 YOU ARE PARTICIPATING. You can't lose Day 1 and then say, "Oh I didnt know what I was doing, blah blah blah, etc. etc." And if you place a pick, lose and disappear from BA, I hope all your IPAs are forward dated 6 months older than you think they are and diacetyl is in all your barrel aged stouts.
    6. <10 participants we'll ship to 1st and 2nd, 10-20 we'll ship 1st, 2nd, 3rd. >20 and I'll leave something in the comments.

    Thoughts, comments, questions?

I may be interested, but I'm not sure I completely follow. I love March Madness and want to get in on one of these.
You pick a team each day (10 picks), but can't duplicate a pick. What happens if you can't pick anyone for the last 2 rounds?
Also, what exactly is the payout/ win?
Per round, or winner take all???

Maybe I'm dumb, but I don't want to find out I have to ship out 10 boxes when it's all done.
Let me know and I'll see if I'm still interested.

    1. Correct - each day 10 picks, cant duplicate. Similar to NFL Survivor
    2. If you run out of teams and someone hasnt and they pick a winner, they finish ahead of you. If everyone is out of teams or the final person losers placing goes to the tiebreaker.
    3. Payout: Each person who did not win ships 1 box to one of the winners. Not 10 boxes.
    4. Winner take all with the 2nd to last person going out taking 2nd place, 3rd to last 3rd, etc.

OK, I think I've played something similar.
    Ex: Day 1 pick a 10 seed win= 10 points
    Day 2 pick a 1 seed win= 1 point
    etc...

No - Pick a team, they lose you're out. Pick a team, they win you move on to the next day and cant pick that team again.

I think I got it, but want to make sure...

On day one, I pick Duke over a MEAC school, I win and I cannot use Duke again. If MEAC school wins, I am done an will most likely ship a box. Other people can pick Duke too, just not the first person to send in their pick each day

On day two, say Duke won and I choose say UNC, they win, I move to day three...and so on.

Confused by the 10 picks listed in #1 spot above also. Also, If I picked all the teams in the Final Four previous in the games, I would be out because I had used them all.

It took me a few times, but think of the NFL survivor pool. You pick a winner each week, if you win, pick next week, lose and you're done.
It's tough when it is daily, not weekly.

Therefor, pick Thursday, win, pick Friday, win, pick Saturday, lose... pack a box.
So, yes, pick Duke Thursday, pick UNC Friday, etc, cannot reuse those picks. It is very possible to use the final 4 teams, and not be able to pick them. However, it all stratergy...

There are 10 total (weeks) to pick, or possible rounds to pick. You have to survive. If you do, the tiebreaker is the seed total you used.

    Cool format. Like it!

Kind of cool having to pick a survivor each of the 4 days in a row ( Th Fr Sa Su) the first two weeks of the tourney. I have a feeling the way March Madness goes there won't be many survivors going into the Final Four.

    Again, count me in!

Yep, I got you guys down. I'm gonna wait till we get at least 10 to send out the invites. The site charges a few bucks after the first day, so dont want to start the pool and pay if we only have 5 or 6 ppl.
