I live in a very liberal region with people from everywhere and have never heard this complaint. And how do you know if I'm white or not? I would suggest not over thinking this.

She used to pose with fans back in the day and was said to be a real hoot. I have a bunch of the different colored cans myself.....funny how sturdy they were back then considering what beer it actually was with the "foam on the bottom". Uh-huh.

 

A fantastic nod of the hat to "Blaxploitation" films of the 70's considering the art. Grab a 6 pack of it and watch some of those great fun films like Scream Blacula Scream, Shaft in Africa, or Sugar Hill and laugh yourself into tears! Good times! All ethnicities welcome.

Write the name of the beer with a sharpie on a post it note and scotch tape it to the bottle for all I care. If whats inside is good I'll buy it.

 

A friend of mine still has unopened bottles of Nude Beer. I'm trying to get him to open one for a tasting...lol

 

this is exactly what i meant. it exoticizes black women.

now i'm a white guy so i don't get to speak for all or any black women, but if anyone does have a problem with this label the correct response is not "but this is why it's not offensive." this is all likely hypothetical in the case of foothills. but i guarantee you could find at least a few black women who may find this problematic. just go on tumblr.
