When will she be there?

 

That's a tough bet, as it's a winter release. Highly recommended though. Hoppin Frog comes there and Ballast Point, I believe. Cigar City Maduro and Jai Alai are definitely worth a try. Oskar Blues is here, too, and you could get lucky and snag some Bruery stuff.

 

Posting an ISO in here or the trade forum would probably be your best bet. I'm not sure of Ballast Point's distro their, but Sculpin is excellent, Victory at Sea Vanilla Porter is supposed to be great if it is around, I've heard good things about Sea Monster and some others.

 

I think Victory at Sea is more of a late fall thing, but if its there, by all means get it. Its popped up on draft at Sams recently and repetitively.

OP-I would have her get Tocobaga, Jai Alai, and Maduro from CCB. If she sees Cucumer Saison, get that too. its interesting and surprisingly good. Dos Costas might still be floating around too.

And based on the current state of seasonals, Good Gourd should have already come and gone, and come back again.

 

By the way, Ballast Point does not distribute to Orlando. It distributes almost everywhere else in FL though.

 

Whoa, Ballast Point doesn't hit Orlando either?? Jeez, they really could be cleaning up here in Florida by tossing some distro to the major Metropolitan areas!

 

Best bottle shop in Orlando is Knightly Spirits on Orange Blossom Trail. Its a bit of a drive from Apopka. There is a Knightly Spirits that just opened in Ocoee, which is about a 15 minute drive from Apopka, but I have no idea what their selection is like. Like I said, you won't find Ballast Point in all of Central FL (They had an issue with the distributor and had to exit the market for a couple of years) and you also will not find Green Flash (which you can find in Tampa). Other than that, you should have no problem finding some Cigar City. The selection really depends what store you go to though. At the very least, they will have Jai Alai and Maduro. Best case scenario, you'll find Cucumber Saison, Bolita, Tocobaga, Kalevipoeg, Auld Alliance, and some more I'm probably forgetting. Marshall Zhukov won't be on the shelves, unfortunately. Are you looking for any other breweries?

 

You should be able to find some Terrapin. Once again, really depends on what bottle shops she hits up.

 

Um I was told that Zhukov is a September release (Ive also heard August as well), and Im merely making a sarcastic joke about pumpkin beers coming out in July (Shipyard Smashed Pumpkin, Blue Moon Pumpkin, and Weyerbacher Imperial Pumpkin are already in stores).

 

CCB said that they just started brewing Good Gourd on the new system earlier this week, so that's likely September for sure.

As for other suggestions, there are still Saison du Swamp's floating around from Swamp Head and that is a fantastic beer that you'll only see here in Florida. For other CCB stuff out right now, Guave Grove, Improv, Humidor IPA and the Bruery collabs are still floating around if she looks around. A lot of small, local stores will carry them regularly.
