I have a good friend of mine moving back to Chicago from Baltimore in a couple weeks. We need some help putting together a list of not necessarily rare stuff, but solid year round and saesonals we cannot get in Chicago. Even if people can provide some brewery recommmendations, that would be a great start. Thanks!
If you can find Duclaw's Retribution is probably the best Duclaw has to offer. Stillwater's of love and regret, folklore, stateside, and pretty much anything from them really. Evolution's ESB, Lot 7 ipa.
If you like IPA....Heavy Seas Loose Cannon Hop3 is my favorite IPA from MD. If you don't get Flying Dog out there..... Gonzo Imperial Porter is one of their better. Raging Bitch is their Belgian IPA. You're buddy can hit them on a Thursday before heading west and fill a growler at the Brewery's tasting room and get something that's a limited release.
DuClaws Retribution,Hellrazer IPA, Soul Jaker and Oak aged Devil's Milk are some to look for as well as Heavy Seas Mutiny Fleet brews and Flying Dog. Brewers Art and defiantly Stillwater brews as well.
Brewer's Art - Serum / Devil's Milk Du Claw - Green Peppercorn Tripel / Ozzy / Resurrection Flying Dog - Kujo Coffee Stout / Raging Bitch
I was lucky to find it on a recent trip to OC, Md. I wish that I could get it here in Jersey. A solid IPA for sure.
Unfortunately, Flying Dog has suspended growler fills. http://flyingdogales.com/growler-fills-suspended-at-the-brewery/ Stock up on bottles.
