Membership feels like a lot of work. I'm exhausted just reading all those bullet points.

Haven't been a big enough fan of any of their special beers to try this. I'm interested to see what happens this first year.

It is supposed to be. BUT it is also voluntary, either it is a Community or it is not. I like that they are moving the plan forward. It's not just a mug club, or Member's Only club. They are looking to educate, grow, communicate....be a Community. I like the concept, I hope they have a long waiting list.
I am just too far away for such a commitment.

Expect more cans and less 500ml bottles moving forward. They have a full time canning system now. Bubbly Freak in cans is amazing.

One of the Marz guys gave me a rundown of the members only event and it sounded incredible.

Dark ceremony with people in golden robes. Official nicknames. etc.

Were they waiting on the canning system to distribute again NEIPAs? Haven't seen anything at Binny's in a while

There was definitely a lag -- one of my least-favorite Marz NEIPAs (Crazy Straws?) just came out in cans again last week and they have a Pride-themed one that they'll presumably can and release this week.

Prestige sold out but Binny's Willowbrook had some.

Sorry, think I got turned around between this thread and the Pipeworks one. They had some King of Borgs.

Tried a Mossy Creek, Wild Hazy IPA didn't see a review of it. Any one try it?

The beer list is pretty amazing and there is something for everybody. I have a small complaint though.

The servers were pouring short pours. I don’t know what the size of their glasses are, but my group probably ordered 10 or 12 glasses of beer last night and at least 8 of the glasses seemed under filled. It was inconsistent, it was either a glass with a huge head or a pour that was under filled.

The quality of beer at Marz is phenomenal, but for the price they are charging I expect a proper pour.

I know places like the beer temple that serve you proper Belgian beers in a proper glass and explain to customers that a proper pour means a less than full glass.

But when I’m drinking a 12oz pour of Jungle Boogie for $7, I expect a full pour. We received beer in several different glasses and the majority were underfilled. I’m fine paying a premium for premium beer, but was dissapointed to receive beers that were consistently less than full.

This is why I then explain a proper beer in a proper glass that involves a proper pour less than a full glass results in a proper tip at a proper rate less than a full 15% tip.

I actually noticed that too when we were there, but if you look at the menu it says 10 or 12oz pour for 6-8 bucks. The problem is that they are giving those 10 or 12 oz pour in whatever glass is clean which sometimes are 16 oz snifters. So when they give you a 12oz pour in a 16oz, or a 10oz in a 12oz, it for sure looks super weird. I had the same reaction at first.

was at the taproom yesterday and tried this and it's pretty awesome in my opinion

it was my first time there and the place was really really cool, sandwiches were great, and all the beers I tried were amazing. Overhaze is also currently on tap and in cans to go, plus two 'dry ipas' (brut IPAs) one with galaxy and one with vic secret that were both pretty great.

It looks good, but Marz might want to reconsider how they are branding as this sounds like the dumbest style I have ever heard, but maybe the goal is to develop a beer to get all 7 continents represented: Nordic New England India Pale Ale?

Edit: NM, the can doesn't say it, just the MARZbrewing instagram account.
