Mash infusion water in beersmith

    mash setup tells me to use 3.69 gallons for strike water and when I open it to edit it I get a infusion of 3.44?

    It's a 5 gallon batch using 1 25 water /grain ratio so which do I use

    Use the 3.69 gallons. You probably have your mash tun deadspace set at .25 gallons. When you double click on Mash in, a mash step box opens with mash tun deadspace on the lower right.
