Mash pH time question.

    How long after adding the grist to my strike water and stirring well should I expect the mash pH to stabilize? Is it less than a minute or should I wait a longer time before testing to see if it should be adjusted?

    A fairly standard time to wait is about 10 minutes.

    It takes at least 5 minutes and closer to 10.
