Hey everyone, I'm headed to Mass Moca with my girlfriend tomorrow actually, for monday and tuesday. I was wondering if anyone knew of any good stores or restaurants or bars in the surrounding area. Short notice, but any info would be nice. We're taking RT 2 from the seacoast NH and stopping at Element Brewing, but if anyone knows of any place on that route as well, that would also be welcomed.

If you're going to Element, continue down 63 and peep the Lady Killigrew in Montague Center[my hometown]. 5 taps with something decent-good usually, respectable bottle/can selection as well....and nice setting perched above the Sawmill River.

From there swing over to Greenfield and try the Imp Stout at People's Pint, rest of the line-up trends towards mediocre. They don't open till 4, but the food is quality and you'd be hard pressed can find a better plate of Wings, trust me. Around the block is Ryan&Casey, good store.

Hop back on 2 and I'd suggest stopping in Shelburne Falls and poking around a bit, quaint little hilltown w/ famed Bridge of Flowers-prolly too early for any blooming though. Lil pub across the bridge in Buckland-West End Pub.

After that things get real slim pickins....although I've been told Ryan&Casey recently opened a cousin shop in Charlemont.

Can't speak for options in North Adams-but I suspect you won't find much unless times have changed out that way-real hard nosed blue collar town.

Ryan and Casey's is an amazing store, huge selection of 22's. Greenfield Grille is also real good was just there on Sat. Right next to the People's pint too.

I had a nice afternoon visiting Element (nice people, delicious beer) and lunching at People's Pint (I actually quite liked the beers I had there). Just be forewarned People's Pint is cash only... it was a bit embarrassing for a moment when I was there.

If you're still there, and are interested in a good lunch; Head west on Rt2 to Williamstown and then south on Rt7 for about 20 minutes. Visit Ye Olde Forge restaurant, its a great beer joint with a rustic ski lodge feel. They have around 20 constantly rotating taps, and 200+ bottles in the fridges. Really good chicken wings, also.

Could be mistaken, but I think People's Pint has accepted cards for the past few months. Better check beforehand, though... or bring your checkbook, they took those as of my last visit, too. I agree, though, it's a really nice place--great vibe, excellent fresh food, and some very good beer (especially the casks).

They do accept cards now, both breweries make me proud

Don't buy all the Jacks Abby at Ryan and Casey's- save some for me. I second Ye Old Forge, but may be a little out of your way.
When in North Adams, go to Jacks Hot Dogs if you like that sort of thing. Great place.

Ryan and Casey had about 10 sucubas there! I found a goose island Juliet which is one I've been looking for for some time now! Great store too bad I'm not closer.

Went to Public Eat and Drink in North ADAMS for dinner. Great little place with a pretty damn fine tap selection. Jacks abbey, element, great divide, bbc, and more!
