I recently saw that Mast Landing and Night Shift did a collaboration. Looks like the beer releases this Friday at Mast Landing in Westbrook, ME. It's called Landscaping Duty which appears to be an ode to Happy Gilmore. I love the name and can art. I don't think I have actually ever laughed out loud when I saw a can or bottle label before this one. Anyways the beer sounds awesome. A big IPA using Nelson and Amarillo. I love both Mast Landing and Nightshift, but unfortunately can't make it! I hope I can get cans on Saturday, or at least try it on draught! Anyone going on Friday?

Now that is an obscure reference.

    Any word on limits?

No mention of case limits or pricing. I've never seen them limiting cases, so I would think there isn't any limit. They did however say that they are expecting a big turnout so who knows.

Hopefully no one's back hurts after carrying a case of this

I'm drinking one now! It's a lot like Wessie only with the dial cranked a couple notches to the right, and bitter like tree leaves. Definitely more Mast Landing than Night Shift.

I was there right after noon and the line was almost out to the parking lot door - which, if you've ever been to Mast Landing, is pretty far. The parking lot itself was a little beyond its natural capacity. I don't know if it would have gotten better or worse as the day went on - 95 northbound was a shitshow all the way down to Route 4 by the time I blew town in early afternoon.

I've never seen a line at Mast Landing before! In fact, I'm not sure I've seen anyone else there before. Good for them! I'm glad to see them getting some love, what with Foundation in QC meltdown and Bissell in full-on circus mode.

No limits. I took two cases, greedy little pig that I am. Along with a couple cases each of Jonah, Wessie and DDH Tell Tale - big party at the papposilenus wallow this weekend.

Glad to hear they had a good turnout. I've been drinking their beer since they started last year, and have enjoyed tasting their progression. I think they might be one of the most underrated breweries in New England, as far as hoppy beer goes. Jonah is in my top 3 favorite DIPA's period. Thanks for the update, hopefully I can snag some cans of Landscaping Duty tomorrow. I've been checking out Untappd, and it seems to be a good beer based on what I've seen there!

20 cases left today! Opening at noon!

They really nailed the NEIPA in this one

Just got to try it it. It's delicious! Definitely a unique flavor profile. Grabbed some cans too. I overheard someone at the bar saying there were around 10 cases left. That was around 12:45. Sounds like it will definitely be gone today.

If anyone else was fortunate enough to stock up on this in any kind of quantity, it's been neat drinking it every day for the past week and tasting the changes. I'm not sure I've ever done that before, tasting a new brew day after day and experiencing how the character of canned beer changes, just over the course of such a short period of time.

On day one, it was all bitter tree leaves, a few days later it had gone juicy and now, after almost a week, it's creamsicles and birthday cake. Sadly, I'm down to my last couple of cans so I won't know how the story ends.

Great beer. I hope someone remembered to write down the recipe.

Papposilenus- must have rubbed elbows at the release last week. Had a can or two on day one and loved it. Def some old school IPA bitterness to it. Your description makes me want to crack a few open tonight.
