So I'm vacationing with the better half in Ocean City, MD at the moment. I saw that Maui (one of my fave breweries that I can't get back home) distributed out here, but upon going to the local beer emporium, I asked for Maui and was greeted with a look that suggested I had 3 heads.

I'll be closer to Baltimore in the next couple days, would I have better luck finding coconut porter out there? Or is Maui no longer available in Maryland? Thanks in advance.

I see it everywhere in my area (near Baltimore). The Perfect Pour (Columbia), Total Wine (Towson), Jasons & Pine Orchard (Ellicott City), and Allview (Columbia) should all have it. There are countless other places that should have it but I've seen Maui at the places mentioned. Good luck!

Yes. Agreed on these places. Just beware of old stock though. Prices for Maui are always higher around here, so it seems they sit on shelves and collect dust more often than not.

OMG they need to get to Philly, stat. Coconut Porter and Big Swell helped me find the courage to say I do back in '10 and I trade for cans of the stuff seemingly every quarter. Having a local source for it would be sooo much better! If I knew what Garrett's BA user name was, I'd tag him on this lol

Oh yes how could I forget about them!

I'm rarely that far north on 83 but when I am, I ALWAYS stop by to get something. They have a great selection and the guys there treat me as if I were one of the regulars. Great selection, prices, and people.

Yes but be prepared to pay upwards of $18 per four-pack for Coconut Porter.

is it that high? wow! i very rarely ever buy maui, as it is always priced at a premium level. last time i had the coconut porter, my sister bought it, so i guess i lucked out there. will have to pay more attention.

and for the OP-as you can tell, maui should be available at many stops. good luck in your quest. if you have some extra cash, pick up some Union Craft Brewing, based out of baltimore. all of their stuff is tasty, my favorite being the altbier. have a good trip.
