I might be driving down to Maumee in the next day or two. Any good shops in the area. I've got other business to attend to so I would be able to go way out of my way.

Anything particular I should look for or would be available now? Would love some Jackie Os but didn't know what else to expect.

Go to The Andersons Market in Sylvania, not too far off 23.

I go a few times a year, always pick up White Rajah and Habanero Sculpin (won't need that now that they're in MI though.) Aside from that, I usually get some combination of Great Divide, Jackie O's, Revolution, Boulevard, Fat Head's, and occasionally some Yuengling.

Maumee Andersons is a good choice to stop by too. Both stores have a great selection, and each has beer that the other doesn't.

Thanks guys. If you had to pick one, which one would you hit?

As long as it is still there tomorrow I plan on driving down to buy a vehicle. So that is the main focus but wouldn't mind buying some beer too  plus I will have my dad with me. And it is a 2 hour drive each way plus he has an hour drive after we get back. If it was just me I'd hit a few places and get back later.

I've found some good stuff stashed in both the Anderson's Sylvania and Maumee. It may also be worth checking out Holloway Beverage. They seem to get pretty good stuff as well, but seem to overcharge so watch prices.

Anderson's Sylvania could probably be a "one-stop", as they have a very good selection. It's also a very good grocery store, and they always have good samples out (try the guacamole if they have it), and good prices on steaks and other meat, so if your dad's not so into the beer, he can occupy himself at the meat counter and grabbing samples while you shop beer.

I've never been to the other Andersons though, so not sure how it compares.

I've been to both several times and prefer Sylvania.

You're not gonna be driving the blueberry anymore?! That's a shame...

onward to a car that I actually fit into, and a van that will actually hold my family all at once

    FT: tiny blue car
ISO: pretty much anything, and I mean anything.

The two andersons are only like 3 miles apart, I hit both on my trips down there, Maumee seems to have more of the limited stuff

Anything in particular I should be looking for? Obviously not up to date on out of state goodies...

Thanks for the help guys. Bought a minivan for the family, which took WAY too long for reasons I won't rant about. None the less I did not get a lot of time to shop and only hit the Maumee location. Would have liked more time but did what I could

Without trying to destroy my wallet after buying the van got:
    - barrel aged eclipse
    - oak aged yeti
    - sweet baby Jesus
    - For Petes sake
    - barrel aged Boris
    - Doris
    - fat head IPA

Wanted to get so much more but this was the best I could do. Wanted Jackie Os but they only had a pumpkin kind. Not my thing. Wanted more hoppin' frog but had to stop buying expensive bombers.

Totally forgot! Dang. I knew I'd miss some good stuff. After all the van stuff t was 8:30 and I was starving. Beer section was busy and I must have looked like "the guy" because everyone was asking me questions about beer. I needed to speed shop.

If you end up back in maumee anytime soon go to the churchills there. I totally forgot about this place, but they had a bunch of Jackie os besides the pumpkin one and barrel aged DORIS last night. There were many goodies that I restrained myself from buying. It is right off 475 by the dussel exit to boot.

There's a place called marinos beverage that's on Monroe street in sylvania ( close to 23) that has a larger selection than andersons, but if you go be prepared to spend some time browsing. No organization.

I stopped at Maumee Andersons yesterday and they didn't have White Rajah. Grabbed Head Hunter, Knee Deep Lupulin Street and the BA Total Eclipse. There's fresher HH on the floor by the deli as opposed to the cooler or beer section.

My head hunter was 12/11. That was fresh enough for me.
