I am a BIG fan of Traunstein beers. They will apparently have four brands. I have had bot the 1612er (which is a Zwickel) and the Dunkel (Altbairsch Dark I presume). I think the 1612er was excellent and the Dunkel was very, very good. I would strongly recommend those two beers (and the other Traunstein beers even though I have never had those particular brands). I recently almost drank this beer at a beer bar but the bottle was one year old so I refused it.
I would love to try the Lowenbrau Buttenheim Kellerbier (this is not Lowenbrau of Munich, by the way). That's one I always wanted to try but never quite got around to getting to Buttenheim. If "Groller Smokebeer" (as listed above) is actually Göller Rauchbier, I thought that was quite good and could recommend it. It's a bit more subdued than the Schlenkerla stuff. I would get anything from Mahr's Bräu. If you have not had Rothaus Pils on draft before, that is quite a treat (by the way "Tannenzapfle" is just the nickname of the 330 ml bottled Pils. Rothaus Pils on draft is just Rothaus Pils). I would love to try some of the Traunstein beers, I've never had them before and they have a good reputation around these parts. Same goes for Schönramer beers, in particular the pils. I've tried and enjoyed Weissenohe's Bonifatius Dunkel. If Uerige Classic is actually the normal Uerige Alt, I'd get that and maybe never leave. I would not get anything by Neuzelle. I would not get Schofferhofer or Dinkel Acker. I would not get Warsteiner's Oktoberfest. I would not get anything that you can otherwise get without much effort (Hacker Pschorr, Paulaner, Weihenstephaner, Andechs, Schlenkerla, etc.). That's all i have for now.
