Well I'm in Fort Worth, but yeah...Specs, Central Market, T&W all have it.

Yup - was no limit at TW (and only $11 with their current sale) -- I even saw a case at the new Costco in North Fort Worth the other day.

there were a handful of Mirror Mirror left at Kings of Camp Bowie in FtW for about 17 i believe. I thought I saw a DR14 6pack or 2 on the shelves as well.

Prairie announcing Birra for TX, I'm assuming that means it was label approved. I need the dataz.

It was approved approved back in March.

I officially hate that wacky database.

HEB Buffalo Speedway had a few bottles of Mirror Mirror sitting on the shelf as of lunch time today. I talked to a guy walking around the beer area and he thinks they have a few more cases in the back. I did not recognized the guy so not sure if he knew for real.

FYI, the database/website is updated every Wednesday and reflects approvals that were "live" as of the previous Friday. So there's some weird delays and overlaps.

    It's not updated Wednesdays...just FYI.

However, nothing showed up this week at all for last week. I've been doing this weekly for some time and this happens every once in a while.

I have come to the conclusion the TABC has given up on updating things. Now has been 2 weeks since their last update for beer.

Wine and Liquor? Those are still being updated.

I do want to meet the one or two people that do this job.

Just so I know if they are competent or just the usual government employee who does not care. I bet they are Bud Light drinkers anyways.

    Lol what a joke.

Every beer for sale in the state needs to be tested for ABV/W by TABC or an independent lab, but not spirits or wine above 7% (I guess they just trust the word of the wine producer that their wine is above 7%). Beer is also the only product that has to undergo approval for each size/package type (bombers vs 12 oz cans vs 12 oz bottles)

Everything is still completed through snail mail, in 2014, and "please allow a 15 business day turnaround time."

That figures. It's what one of the agents told me, and we all know they don't know WTF they're doing.

They have to test everything so they know how to tax it - above or below the 5% ABV threshold - and to make sure the manufacturer has the appropriate permit/license. I am regularly amazed by how the beer/malt bev industry is ***** in the state of Tx...and even more amazed that it used to be worse.

I'm pretty sure Rick Perry is to blame, or at the very least an aggie cronie. Probably the same ones that built the Allen HS football stadium.
