I know Elysian brewing company is doing a release-a-month for the whole year until 12-21-12.

I know I grabbed a beer last year that was doing the same thing, except releasing them yearly (since 2002, as I recall). Unfortunately, I should have grabbed two, as one of my roommates drank it.

Which brewery is this? I can't find any information on the beer or the series' name via Google. I'm wondering if anyone has "extras" they might sell on eBay or similar.

    Thanks!

are you thinking of the stone vertical epic series? last release in the series will be 12.12.12. i think the whole earth imploding thing is optional with the stone series.

    Yep! That's it! Thanks!

I thought it might be related to the Mayan nonsense due to the close proximity of 12-12-12- and 12-21-12.

I don't give one penny's worth of weight to the whole Mayan thing, btw, but I enjoy the fun that Elysian (at least) is having with it.

You can obtain the Stone vertical relatively easily all the way back to 03. The 02 is a whale.

I know this isn't directly related to the thread, but Rivertown Brewing in Cincinnati released their Pestilence Sour Brown Ale, which is one of four beers they are releasing in a series prior to the Mayan apocalypse. I think they are all named after the Four Horseman. The Pestilence was over the top funky and sour, reminiscent of dirty gym socks and rotten yogurt.

I love the reasons we find to (make beer and) drink beer.

I personally think Tuesdays are a great day for a great beer. Your thoughts?

    Cheers!
