Corvallis, Ore brewery expands beer offering with first barrel aged beer (Corvallis, Ore) Mazama Brewing Company of Corvallis, Ore is pleased to announce the release of its newest beer, Nightside Eclipse on Friday, January 31st. Nightside Eclipse is a bourbon barrel fermented Imperial Porter. Mazama Brewing will celebrate the release of the beer with food pairings and Mazama merchandise giveaways in the taproom (33930 SE Eastgate Circle, Unit A, Corvallis, Ore 97333) on Friday, January 31st from 6 to 9pm. Nightside Eclipse was fermented and aged in charred American oak barrels previously used to age bourbon from 4 Spirits Distillery, also located in Corvallis, Ore. Nightside Eclipse harmoniously melds vanilla, oak and spice from the barrel to the smooth chocolate, coffee, and light roast character of the base beer. This is the first barrel aged beer Mazama has released. Nightside Eclipse took home the Best in Show award at the Big Woody Festival put on by Lay It Out Events in Portland, Ore on January 17th, 2014. Nightside Eclipse is a limited release.
