Hopefully it will move faster this time

The only reason I'm actually considering going again is the stated "multiple cashiers"

Hopefully a bit more info comes out ahead of time. A "cash only" cashier would be sweet. I'm not much into the line thing these days but have a buddy who wants to go so just might tag along..

6/20? Nice. The same day as brewfests in both Lewiston and Bangor. Local Maine fans out of luck yet again, while the Massachusetts and Connecticut traders clean up!

yet the NH and RI traders don't factor in?

I know the last one took forever, but I'd think that you'd still be able to get through line and get to one of the fests...

I got there at 530 last time and was out by 10. You can definitely make it Lewiston or even Bangor in time.

I'm all for a lottery for half/all of the cases so you can pick up beer at your convenience!

From their page it sounds like this one will go much faster than the last one. I didn't get out of there until about 1pm and was near the end of the line. If they have multiple points of sale they will cut several HOURS off the weight. Last time that was the bottleneck.

Yeah, I'm done until it becomes more efficiently ran - I paid for a hotel the night before in Portland, I got there at 6:15 and when 9:30 rolled around I was only half way - I estimated that I had another 2-3 hours - I had to leave to be somewhere by 12 - what a waste of time, effort and money…Fantastic beer, though.

That stinks. I pretty much had the whole day free. Hit Allagash, BB, Foundation and Austin Street in Portland and then hit Smutty on the way home. Allagash had just released Resurgam so that was a big, unexpected score.

That'd be nice if "Cuvée De Industrial" coincided with MBC Dinner this time around. Then again, I think I heard that release was June 29th...

They need a cash only line this time and also a Dinner only line to much time wasted last time while people picked and mixed other cases of MBC stuff. If they want other stuff come back after the sale. Set the cash price at $100 instead of $98.20 or what every it was with tax. Hell they can donate the extra revenue to a good cause if they want.

So what you're saying is that you want them to "Do what's right"

Explain what a "trader" is for me? I wouldn't mind a bottle or two for my personal use.

They have made it clear they will have more registers to use this time and merchandise will be in a seperate tent. Ill be there early again but expect it will go a lot faster this time.

If anyone in the Boston area with deep pockets wants to bypass the line, Picco's having an MBC tap takeover this weekend including an auction for 4 cases of Dinner to be picked up at the winners' convenience.

I'm hoping to make the run up from NJ! My brother lives in MA, about 2 hours from Portland. He went to the last one and was kind enough to give me 3 bottles. Best beer I have had. Will hopefully crash at his place on Friday night (maybe stopping at Treehouse on the way up). Then will be up early! I think he got their around 5 last time. I plan the same. Probably won't get anything else from MBC, so a Dinner only line would be great. Plan on hitting BB and Foundation as well.
Now, to just clear the time with my wife....

I think he meant people from MA and CT who run up to get the max (probably even bring someone else to get more for them) and then use it as trade bait to get whales or other sought after beers.
