Good Evening BAs, If there is any interest to meet up, share beers, swap stories, maybe even trade a few beers please shoot me a message. Coming from Chicago - certainly happy to pack up and share some of our local beers. From now till the Festival I will be doing my own research on all the top notch restaurants, shops, beer spots to hit. But, if there is any personal suggestions, please, by all means, I'd love to hear your favorites. Copenhagen, Stockholm, Bergen and Oslo are all on the map for a 12 day trip. Look forward to any and all responses! -andy
Sounds like a plan! Lot of places to go in Copenhagen. In the next weeks Mikkeller will launch their event app (includes some paralell events like Tap Takeovers, Meet the brewer, concerts, Parties...in their own locations) so that can help you with the schedule. Lot of beer from the States the week of the event in Copenhagen...I don“t know if any Illinois brewery is coming this year, last year I tried the "Half Acre" selection for the festival and their collaboration with Warpigs. Nice "hipster" guys xD and cool brews. Cheers, Alex.
Nice sounds like a plan, I actually just moved out here to Italy last year so am familiar with US beers. Def interested in some bcbs and variants and others as well, and i can def send some cantillon/3f Your way, have some fou and others, also will be stopping by cantillon on the way to coppenhagan so can grab whatever is available.
I can meet up for beers as well. I live 20 minutes from Copenhagen and will be having a pink pass this year so all sessions for me. Will stay at a Hotel from thursday. If anyone has a East EnD gratitude from this year release let me know, I Need one for my vertical!
Oslo: Schouskjelleren Mikrobryggeri: They make good beer themselves and they should have bottles of Cantillon. The downstairs room is like drinking in a castle cellar. Himkok: They make their own gin and aquavit and are a world class cocktail bar. But they also have a beer garden where they serve local craft and cider. They had some stuff on draft from Eik & Tid(definitely look for their beers if you like sours). The whole place is huge and beautiful. Bergen: I thought Henrik and Appolon were great bars. I thought the beer at Bergenhus Brewery was terrible. Copenhagen has so many good beer spots but I really liked Restaurant Barr(in the old Noma spot) for beer and food. They had bottles of Bokkereyder.
+1 on Barr. Barr is excelent, the bartenders is really good and have lots of knowledge. Andreas the bar mannager used to work for Amager btw. The food is stellar!
