    Got my tickets and hotel for Saturday already! Fall Fest is my favorite. Less of a crowd, walkable hotels, best weather, and, most importantly, SLOW'S!

    Damn it, I thought you were talking about the REAL fall beer fest, the one in Marquette...

    Which is the best beer fest, btw. Talk about less crowds, walk able hotels, and the best location ever for a beer fest, on the shores of Lake Superior. I'll see the brave and the wise there...

    Edit - a friend does set up for all of the fests, and he always says the UP fest is his favorite.

    I've heard great things about it, but Marquette is still a touch too far for me. Maybe one day I'll make it up there...

    Some day, I'm gonna do all four in a year. Have not done that yet. Next year maybe... :slight_smile:

    Have never done fall festival before. Contemplating it this year. Main question for my on it is would it be worth either a hotel overnight, or cab ride to and back from Belleville. Would hate to get a hotel when I live reasonably close, but it is also not close enough that a cab wouldn't cost me an arm and a leg. May have to swing a night at greektown for it. Hmmmmm.....

    Fall is fun. I'm waiting to see if I get tickets through the guild before I buy them. Regardless, I think we're going to be 20 deep this year. Going to get my brother to go, he's never been. Its a nice cab ride home. I don't think I can spend any more money then I did at the summer fest.

    You would be better off getting a hotel room at Greektown, I am sure a cab ride would cost an arm and a leg.

    Anything downtown/midtown isn't bad at all at night. You can freely walk around without fear of death.

    If you live in Oakland County, try the Detroit Bus Company, there and back for $10, I think. I live in Ferndale, bus picked up in front of Imperial just north of 9 mile easy walk from my house.
