MBG Fall Festival thread

I'll give all of you a heads-up on Arcadia's Morning Night Cap Porter. If you like coffee beers, this one's for you.

 

What are some can't miss pours on this list? I'm pretty interested in the Buffalo Trace aged RIS from Kuhnhenn. Is this a first timer, or has it been on tap at the brewery? I'm going up Friday with some friends, this will be all of our first times to this particular event. Any tips or advice?

 

The BTBBAAIS was one of the bottles released last Winter Solstice, along with the Braggot and BB4D. Cherry Oud Bruin was at the Summer fest. All great beers IMO.

 

Hoping that some folks do the Saturday goers a solid and save some of the beers that would likely kick on Friday.
Been many times before and I always appreciate it. But then there are people who just let stuff kick leaving next to nothing for Saturday (even for enthusiast hour).

Got my list down to 74 wants.

 

Friday I will work to kick every keg at the event. My mission Saturday will be to find the best dialysis clinic in Metro Detroit.

 

I am interested to hear what others consider the "don't miss beers" for the Fall festival, like Perrin No Rules and Odd Side Hazel's Nuts were at the Summer festival. Any ideas?

I think my number 1 will be Dark Horse Cocoa Bourbon Nibbler - Chocolate Cream Stout.

 

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I always say drink as much of BOB's peanut butter porter as you can, it's world class in my opinion. And I always, always, always go to redwood and drink their beer. I think they're the hidden gem of the festival

 

Best PB beer I've ever had as well. Always grab a pint of it while I'm there if it's on!

I will say that the OCP (PH) is the shiz. But no one go and have it. At least not until I've had my fill.

Just bought my enthusiast pass, does anyone know what sort of proof you can use for early access before you get your card?

 

Print out your authorization and present it. And you'll be fine. You only have to be a member by. A certain time for pre sale

 

That certainly hasn't been the case for past festivals. I bought my first enthusiast membership a few hours before a festival, I just printed the receipt page (or possibly the email receipt, can't remember) which clearly showed the purchase date and my name.

 

They used to let you in with the receipt, but as @Ckoz said, at some point they started saying you had to buy it by a certain date in order to use it. Not sure if that still stands or how much they enforced it, but they have said that in the past.

 

So, Ill be pouring for Witch's Hat from 3 till 4:30...Would love to meet a bunch of ya...Im tommy z....lol

 

What were yesterday's highlights folks? Need some suggestions! Thanks!
