Anyone seen tap lists from some of the breweries come out yet? Really excited as always for this event.
The list is up on the "BeerFestList" app. Not the best interface, as you have to "open" each brewery tab to see the beers. I hope they post a plain text list online like they did last year.
Yeah you're right, come to think of it I think it was the 2017 Winter List. When I backed out the lists refreshed or something, and now I only have access to the (empty) Summer list.
They aren't up on the app at all. I think I remember last year a few breweries not having their list up in time for the website, but they were added to the app later. That may not be happening in the case. I'm curious to see if they'll have their stuff printed in the program/map.
Any of you guys have tips for this fest? I plan on attending for the first time this weekend and I'm not too familiar with Ypsi. Should I plan to eat somewhere good around town before or just eat there?
- Bring a few bottles of water to keep yourself hydrated. - Lot's of great places to eat around there before and after the festival, but they will be packed. (Aubree's, Maize, Sidetrack or venture further for Wurstbar or Red Rock BBQ) - Good food inside to be had by member breweries. - Get in line early or wait until about 20 minutes after gates open to get in. - Have fun!
Wurstbar is cool, but God damn, we went there after on a Saturday and it was so slammed. Service couldn't keep up. We ended up being there for hours.
Also worth noting that the Art Fair is going on in Ann Arbor, so everything will be very busy in that direction as well.
So hot last year. Legit saw an older guy roll his eye's into the back of his head and pass out. Then we got him awake, moving, on his feet etc, he seemed fine, took a few steps, eyes roll again and fell back first into one of those giant metal tent spikes. Had to get medical personnel to help. Really sad I'm not going this year though, wanted to spend the day in the witch's hat line
Any recommendations on some not so well know gems on the list? It seems like every year I go the next day I read about some nectar of the gods that I missed out on. I'm looking forward to tasting DKML and 10K IPA from Founders.
