According to Mckenzie's facebook post, the ab biere de garde is three years old. Several "aged" cases to be released. I can only think it is the same...

Warning to anyone that got/plans on getting bottles of the 2012 Valleymaker. I picked one up yesterday at Devon and by time I drove 45 minutes to my destination half the bottle had exploded. Bottle was standing up, still cold, cap still affixed but slightly ajar. Also, oddly, the mess was completely odorless. Didn't try the rest of the bottle since I want to take it back eventually and exchange it for hopefully a growler of their light lager (fingers crossed) #thatssomckenzie

loved that beer. Had to drink some but then had to send some out as extras so others knew about it. Good stuff when they want to be.

Quick clarification on bottles etc. The first saison gold was clean. The second was bretty by accident. Third was funky barrel aged for a brief time. The Du Bois name is often used when the beer is pushing the line towards a sour beer and not as much of a saison. Usually it has spent a longer time in barrels.
The ABBBdG bottles available now are the same batch as before.
The 2012 RIS and 2012 Barleywine are not barrel aged. Those bottles are force carbed and not bottle conditioned. I've noticed a couple that leaked around the caps. They will not explode. Send me a PM and i can replace the one that leaked.

The owners and managers are basically clueless especially about the beer. They do, however, pay attention to comment cards.

We are hoping to have a more steady supply of bottles, both sour and clean barrel beers.
