I had it on draft at their party in Union last weekend. It's as good as I remember it. I'm not an $8/22oz IPA kind of guy, but I'm happy to get a pour of this anytime it's on. Same goes for Be Hoppy.

Anyone seen it in the Easton/Mansfield area? How about Yankee in Attleboro? If Wines & More has it, they'll probably charge about $10 a pop. I'm not exaggerating. They charge $9 for Be Hoppy.

Yea avoid W&M at all cost...there is that small spot in easton, cant think of the name about a quarter mile from the shaws that usually has a good selection. Id try there. Its in that odd small strip mall.

Exactly what I was thinking. It's called Pop's. Thanks.

Ahhh yea thats it...W&M is a blessing and a curse for that part of MA. Great selection outrageous prices...corks was great till W&M basically ran them out of town for the craft beer market 2 years ago.

Slightly OT, but if you haven't been to River Valley in a while you might be disappointed - they cut away 1/3 of the cooler space devoted to beer and the selection has shrunk to match. I did get Meadowlark there last year but don't know if it will be there this year or not. There is a Liquors 44 1 mile or so due south on the same road, with a bigger selection and generally higher prices.

I love Pop's. I was regularly buying BCBS there probably until April or so. Always stop in whenever I'm in the area

I just had a super fresh Wormtown Be Hoppy IPA last night, and looking forward to Meadowlark being year-round really makes me think that Mass as a whole is a bit underrated when it comes to brewing excellent IPAs. Between those two, Blatant, not to mention the new stuff from Tree House and Trillium, there are some seriously top-notch IPAs being brewed in the commonwealth. I'm sure I'm missing others as well.

Provisions in Northamtpon then would be the best option, great selection there, do yourself a favor and grab some cheese as well.

Being underrated can be a good thing. Keeps the best kept secrets just that.

Yup. You certainly know the area.

It's an OK beer, but at ~ $8 per bomber it's just be a once-in-a-while purchase for me. Can think of many equal/better better IPAs at a more wallet-friendly price point (ie. NBPT Green Head for $8.95 per 6 pack).

I'd add Jack's Abby to the list - lagers, yes, but they quench the same hoppy thirst.

Keep in mind that the oldest beer on that list is about 2 years - before that MA was an IPA wasteland, so the bad rep is going to take time to shed. With that said, I feel like breweries in general are getting better at making hoppy beers everywhere. All these upstarts are finally modeling their IPAs after the west coast hop bombs instead of the old school balanced English IPAs. So most states are now pumping out good fresh local IPAs, and thankfully MA seems to be no exception.

Ah, bummer. It has been awhile since I've been there. Thanks for the update

Yeah, it didn't push my buttons like it did at last year's HHTD - and I worked my way up to it this year. Came off a wee bit phenolic to me too. Hopefully just an anomaly.

Surprised me how good that Blatant Catalyst DIPA was that I was drinking at Bison County the last few weeks. With Saison brett on tap too, it was a one-two punch of tasty beer.

7.49 at Granite in Weymouth, I like it a lot. But like others have said, price wise it doesn't win me over. I'll grab a bottle again at some point though. If I could get it in sixers for around 12, I'd buy it all the time.
