Crows are cool. Watch 'em sometime. When I come back I hope I'm a crow.

Relates to my handle as well, we like to say that Trey is a Jedi. I also love Star Wars so when Trey finally played with a lightsaber he grabbed from a fan and started having fun with it it became a favorite moment of mine. Glad someone captured it with photos and videos so I didn’t have to.

It's me pulling a state record strongman deadlift. I figured replacing the tires / plates with a Maß would be more fitting.

OK, fair question. It may be considered derivative or played out or whatever … but the yin/yang symbol adopted by the Taoists (best put into writing by Lao Tzu some 2500 years ago) is the philosophy/belief system that I’m aware of that comes closest to my own observations of the world. I have no tattoos, but if I did it would probably be this symbol. For me it’s all about balance and moderation, accepting things as they are and having a certain amount of humility in a universe that is older and more complex than my simple primate brain could possibly begin to comprehend. Cheers!

Picture I took of the Tommyknocker sign outside of their brewery. Love the atmosphere there. Was one of the first domestic breweries that turned me on to craft beer.

I changed mine after the election. I love boom boxes and saw this auction. This was the collection of DJ Ross-One. All were wired together for a wall of sound. Sone very rare boxes, I had the JVC M-70, top center. I remember taking the bus into NYC, buying it and walking down 42nd street carrying this massive box.

Probably change soon as this is not a great graphic for an avatar.

    Enjoy

Last time I was at state fair there was a murder standing on the edge of the building above the door where people went in and out to check out some of the entries. As people went in and out those crows were dropping rocks on people's heads. Intentionally. I watched that shit for an hour, it's still the highlight of that trip. Harvard did a study that contended crows had more operating brain capacity than any other animal. After seeing them use tools, communicate to each other, and perform acts simply for fun, I'm wondering if they aren't the top of the heap.

Mine is the man I have spent most time near but never met, and who has been a great force of creativity in my life, even these long years since he left us.

So true! I had a chance in the years I managed the recycle center to observe the intelligence and culture of crows. Amazing animals with a well developed means of communication.

Front row of the Cemetery of which I am a trustee. for 25 years
Established in 1718 and active to this day.
The winter shot, no footprints, sweeping shadows, all relate to the beauty we are surrounded with.
Take the time, observe, reflect, at that beauty.
    Even in a Cemetery!
    Cheers

I find the cemeteries around here especially beautiful and peaceful in autumn. They're also great places for Halloween beer photos (although I'll admit that setting up, getting the shot, and packing up before the caretaker and/or the police get there to find out what the hell you're doing doesn't leave a whole lot of time for quiet introspection ).

My last time in Germany was in 2003 with my (late) wife and son. Walking around Köln, we stopped at the Früh Kneipe (pub) for some very fresh and delicious Kölsch. He happily posed for the photograph.

Mine's from a Molson beer commercial I was working on about 10 years ago - it was a 'tabletop' shoot - close-ups of beer pours and the like - the director realized that Molson Canadian looked much better, richer, colorful if it was shot in large vessels in large quantities -
my fellow prop buddy took this pic of me while we were fucking around - the director also had production assistants come around to the crew with shot glasses of beer after every set up -!

Not an avatar but a pic. That's a parrot skull and cross bones flag . . . on the beach in Hatteras Island that signifies that I and my family are Parrotheads. Fins Up!

BTW, the house to the left in the pic is was used in the movie "Nights in Rodanthe" starring Richard Gere.
