I reckon it's due to the fact that recent postings to threads now appear on the front page of BA, thus inviting passing viewers to comment. I certainly browse them frequently. Before the return of the regular front page, the UK weekend drinking threads flew under the radar.... The first time one of them got locked (a few months back), I knew it was only a matter of time before this situation occurred. What can you do.....
. And I reckon you're 100% correct with that. To be honest I can't see the harm with a few 'guest' posters from time to time.
