Melvin Coming to CO

Where was this tapped? I was unaware that 4x8 was being tapped anywhere, just 2x4.

 

It was a surprise keg at Backcountry. I don't think they knew they were getting it until it showed up. I'm ashamed to say I didn't try it, even though I was at Backcountry on Saturday. But that's what happens when there are a million good beers on tap at one time...

 

Hahaha well crap, I definitely ordered a few 2x4's at Backcountry on Saturday and they left a great impression on me (like it has in the past), so do you know if the 4x8 was tapped in lieu of, or accompanied by 2x4?

 

I think it was an additional tap.

 

Good deal. I sat at Backcountry for 6+ hours and had no clue LOL SMDH! Still, the 2x4's were electric. Melvin is simply top notch! If anyone is still jonesing for some Melvin, it looks like 1st Draft has 2x4 on tap still. I might try to hit that place up after work to sneak in one last fill before it's gone!

 

4x8 was an additional tap. I had no idea about it either but thankfully I was seated at a table in the dining area and the waitress came over to tell us about it right after it was tapped. It was delicious.

 

Had 2x4 for the first time last night at Freshcraft, as well as Clinic and Dready Copper. Thought all were well done, but that 2x4 was delicious. My guess is they are still on with how few people were there. I believe it's also supposed to be on at Star Bar this weekend at some point.

 

2x4 is on at at the Mayor, Tap and Handle, and Choice City in Fort Collins. Tap still has Dready, Hubert, and Shaolin as well.

 

Shoalin still on at Powder Keg FYI. Enjoyed one this afternoon

 

Picked up a case each of 2x4 and IPA bombers in Idaho yesterday!

Yeeewwww! So fired up to have this level of beer somewhat available now.

 

Seriously....can we get some coffee ruckus in a barrel?

That Shaolin is fantastic, I think I liked it more than 2x4.

 

Backcountry had a bunch of Melvin on tap yesterday. I absolutely loved Dready Copper. If they could keep this on tap consistently, it would usurp Blind Pig as my go-to IPA when I'm there.

 

Having a 2x4 at First Draft right now. I seriously can't get enough of this beer. I will hype this beer till I die!

 

Is shaolin still around anywhere...missed that one.

 

Might still be on at Backcountry in Boulder. Maybe Powder Keg?

I think Oskar Blues HMLS is having a tapping on Friday. They have 5 kegs of Melvin goodness.
