I've got a couple Memorial Day shindigs to go to over the next 2 days. A lof the people there will be drinking BMC and Corona. I'm going to bring some beers in hopes of introducing some of them to craft beer. Anyone else doing something similar and if so what will you be bringing???

    I'll be bringing:
    Narragansett Summer
    Brooklyn Lager(cans)
    New England Elm City
    21st Amendment Bitter American
    Dogfish Festina Peche (wine heads)
    New England Sea Hag
    And for me Flower Power

    Cheers!

Wife and I had ours. Actually not a Memorial Day party but a housewarming.

Narragansett Summer was a good choice. I got that too, along with some regular 'gansett and 'gansett light. It's the morning after and I'm also left with growlers of Cape Cod Red and Old Burnside's Dirty Penny ale thanks to various friends and family. The growler of Cape Cod Summer Weizen got emptied in a flash and is sadly no more.

I also bought an absurd amount of groceries, prepared only half of that, and of that half, only half got eaten. Lots of people went home with leftovers yesterday. Except for the beer.

Not quite sure yet, but I do know that after I scope out a new fishing spot today, a BBQ with family will be on tap. The drink list is still tentative, but definitely a sixer of Anchor Steam and some new Belgium Shift will be in the mix. Might throw a Saison in for good measure as well.

Once I find a shindig to go to, I'll figure out which beer to buy. Most of the beer in my stash is not practical for a day of prolonged consumption. In other words, I need to buy something more sessionable.

Why wait? Because I don't want to spend anymore money on beer unless I have to. Don't ask me again. Jerk. Or I'll go looking for you.

Don't know that there will be enough of us to have too many good beers, but a few of us are bringing some craft for the party.

    My contributions will be:
    Rogue Yellow Snow IPA
BORIS Royale (1 year since I've had it, maybe to the day)

went to a bbq yesterday but took it easy, just a few brooklyn lagers with some grillin'. Today I just mowed the lawn so I decided to pop a beer to cool off.

I had a similiar problem. When people come over I offer a beer. When the choices are nothing they have ever seen beforen their eyes start to glaze over.
So I picked up a case of Summer Love and a case of Brooklyn Summer Ale cans for company. I am no longer giving options. I will simply hand them one of the beers for company.

Today is the first time I had it, and it was very tasty. Very happy with my purchase.
