I've got the same problem is reverse. My Belgian fermented a bit too cold.

Re brewing my "house ipa", it's been awhile since I brewed anything and I feel like a kid before Christmas morning.

Would you mind sharing the recipe and a little info on the style? I've had one Grisette that I loved (fermented with Brett), but this is only the second time I've seen it mentioned.

Bottling a porter w/choc, vanilla, and coffee. Gonna make my first foray into the world of sour mash Berliners, also.

Racking the Raging Princess to a keg. It'll spend about 48 hours around 74 degrees and then into a keg.

I'm on stage 2 of stepping up WLP 351 for a Dunkelweizen. I'll likely brew on Monday.

No brewing for me, but I'll be kegging a batch of saison and moving my IPA to the keezer for a couple days of cold crashing. Also need to spend some time figuring out the math/brewday schedule for my first partigyle that I'll be attempting in a couple weeks.

    Nothing.

I'm in the middle of dry-hopping a double IPA and consuming mass quantities of my homebrew inventory to make room for it...

Maxed out my tun and my kettle. Brewing 7 gallons of a split-batch SMaSH. Pils/Summer - half will get 05, half will get 3711. My efficiency seems to have hit 91%...which is kind of surprising, but I had to stir a lot because I mashing in a little too hot, and the lifting 6.5 gallons of sparge water plus 12 pounds of grain equals a whole hell of a lot of sloshing.

Now I'm waiting to see if my stove can boil ~9 gallons of wort.

Interesting name with various implications. Stone's GoTo IPA is quite tasty. I like the lower ABV IPAs that have come out lately, in that I can bring a few of them to a party and still be able to function when it's over. My personal idea of a go to IPA wouldn't necessarily be low ABV, but something I'd brew if I needed an IPA and I needed to know it was going to be good, and ready pretty quick (i.e. bottle or keg in two weeks). For that i'd go with the APA IPA, actually, or re-brew my PtE clone thingie, because those recipes came out so damn good!

I'm going to have a buddy over Saturday for his first brew day. I think we'll do a simple blonde with some simple hop additions. I'm more focused on showing him the ropes and trying to figure out how to get him in the game for <$200. We'll see if I scare him off.

Sure. But disclaimer first... I have brewed the base recipe before (yummy and refreshing), though in this one I cut out some late hops and reduced target IBUs from 20 to 18, to make a little room for raspberry tartness. But this will be the first time for the raspberry version. (And I think you probably know (but in case you missed my sarcasm font) that nobody really knows how Grisettes were brewed...let alone added fruit.)

    5.1 Gallons into Fermenter
    Target ABV: 4.5%
    Target OG: 1.041
    Target FG: 1.007
(ABV and Gravities Do Not Include Fruit addition)
    Mash Efficiency: 70% (no-sparge)
    Apparent Attenuation: 83%
    Mash Temp: 151F
    18 IBUs (Tinseth)
    90 minute boil

    Grain Bill:
Weyermann German Pilsner Malt - 6.3125 lbs
Weyermann Wheat Malt - 1.8125 lbs

    Hop Schedule:
    60 Minutes
-- 1 ounce Hersbrucker Pellets, 3.1% AA (or a noble hop)
    20 Minutes
-- 0.5 ounces Styrian Goldings, 4% AA (or a noble hop)

    Yeast: Wyeast 3724
Pitch at 67F, ramping up to 80F over first week
When attenuation is finished, rack onto 5 lbs Frozen and Thawed Raspberries for about a week, or until 3724 finishes eating fructose.

    Carbonate lively. Mow lawn.

Lightly hopped saison? Are Grisettes mentioned in Farmhouse Ales - I'll look when I get home -? They must be, though I can't remember reading about the style.

Looks delicious. Might have to add to the queue. Thanks for sharing.

They are mentioned. But a lot of the description is speculation. If I had to summarize, I'd say "table saison."
