I have a starter of Irish Ale yeast going. I plan to make a stout on Saturday. Depending on my level of ambition, I'll make another batch on Sunday or Monday, either a mild, an bitter, or an American pale. Leaning towards the bitter

Brewed a big batch of my Oatmeal Pale Ale (10g) with a buddy on Thursday. Nice balanced style, bittered with Kent/Fuggle and late addition of Horizon. I'm in a crazy experimental mode, so steeping an oak tea and a rum oak tea to add to some small (1/2g) test batches of this OPA prior to bottling next week (planning on approximately 10% of volume of each- ~225ml to a half gallon; but will depend however on final product/taste of the teas). Also planning to brew a Rye IPA (w/ Magnum and Amarillo) on Sunday with my cousin who will be experiencing his first brew session. Keeping it simple with this one (my first time brewing it). Have a great weekend BA Homebrewers!

I will brew an English style barleywine. Pretty basic, just Rahr Pale Ale malt and a hundred or so IBU at 60min. I will boil down a gallon or so of first runnings into a lava like substance before adding the rest of the sparge. I am going to ferment with Mangrove Jacks Workhorse strain.

Then into the secondary with an light toast American oak spiral. Eventually bottle and tuck away until Fall.

Perhaps plant this Ultra hop rhizome I picked up as well. Perhaps keg last weeks IPA, time for a gravity reading.

Readily I will display the intestinal fortitude required to fight on to the Ranger objective and complete the mission, though I be the lone survivor. Rangers lead the way!

I wasn't planning on brewing over the weekend, but my sister was in town from Texas and told me that she wanted to brew a batch with me, so I threw together a recipe, we made an impromptu trip to the LHBS, and brewed a chocolate milk stout yesterday evening. Pretty excited for it to finish up so I can send her a 6 pack (I'd send more, but she's not really a beer drinker. She just made plans to do something with me, my mom, and my dad each individually, and picked things that we were into that she wanted to learn about). All in all it was a really fun experience with someone I don't get to see as often as I would like, so yeah, pretty good brew day.
