Looking for some help fellow BAs. Have a family member going to Memphis in a week or so and looking to have them grab a few things not available to me here in TX. Researching seekabrew I see Evil Twin, Off Color, and Terrapin - my question how common are these in the area and any particular bottle shop I should direct them to? Also hear Wiseacre is putting out some good stuff so may have them swing by there if they have bottles/cans to go. Appreciate your help!!
You won't find any of those in Memphis but Wiseacre is a go to here. they put out great year rounds especially Gotta Get Up to Get Down coffee stout, Ananda IPA and they are always making special brews in bombers and on tap. Madison Cash Saver has a 30 tap growler station if you are looking for fills. You can check their instagram and FB page for deals and taplist they also carry Wiseacre. Buster's liquor and wine also has a great craft beer selection as well. If you haven't tried Southern Prohibition, MS Fire Ant Imp Red and Soul Glo saison are excellent brews. Cheers!
Native Memphian here, I use to manage the beer selection at a local liquor store. Cash saver can only do low gravity for beer, which hits a lot to be honest. Anything else you need to go to a liquor store. Buster's, Joe's, Corks, and The Winery are my favorites. The latter two are out east more. Wiseacre has some great beers. Definitely worth picking up. Nashville gets the terrapin and good people. New holland just moved into the state a few weeks ago. Dragons milk is worth looking into. Also straight to ale out of Huntsville, AL is worth a look. They distro in Memphis now. Southern prohibition out of Mississippi has some interesting stuff too. If you're really looking for anything in particular from Evil Twin or Off color, PM me.
