Memphis without a Car

    So I'll be in Memphis from the 30th to the 2nd for work. I will not have a car. I'm staying downtown, and wondering about decent spots in walking or cabbing distance to have a beer/buy some bottles.

    High Cotton appears to be about a 20 minute walk from my hotel. Worth the trip? Any decent restaurants with a good beer selection nearby? I'd definitely like some good barbecue.

    Any recommended bottle shops, and specific local beers that are worth bringing home?

    Thanks, man! I've been to Flying Saucer in Kansas City - great selection there.

    Looks like half a mile walk from where I'll be staying - perfect!
