So, Menace Brewing in Ferndale has only been available at Maggies Tavern in Ferntucky, and another restaurant, out in the county. That's about to change. They are moving off their nano system and onto a two-bbl system. In addition, they are opening a bar in downtown Bellingham, The Local. They'll be featuring beers from all 5 Whatcom County breweries (North Fork, Menace, Boundary Bay, Chuckanut, and Kulshan) in addition to some other special taps. The pub will have a kitchen (I got most of this info from their chef, Brandon), and they're hoping to be open in time for Bellingham Beer Week in September. Even if they're not quite ready, they already have most of their permits, and will host events during BBW, including the Beer Can Derby!
I actually was going to add them today, but I couldn't find the physical address online. I'll get in touch with Ben and get it posted. I've had a couple of their brews "unofficially", at get togethers and such where critiquing beers wasn't a priority. But they were on tap at a local bar the other night for a "local beer/local food" pairing, and I just tried their XPA and Best Bitter. I'll get them added shortly.
