Hello all you Advocates! Hope everyone is doing well!
So 2014 is almost over, and we are now done with Thanksgiving and moving into the winter time!
It's cold in December, and many people often stay indoors on those cold evenings and watch a movie with their friends and families. That being said, there are many Holiday/Winter themed movies out there and we all have our favorites.
Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, the Winter Solstice, Kwanzaa, or any other Holiday or festivity during the month of December, I encourage you to participate in this BIF. Nobody is excluded from participating.

To enter this BIF: I would like you to comment and tell us about your favorite 'winter' movie (religious or non-religious) and maybe who you used to/still enjoy watching this movie with. (What about the movie do you love? What is your favorite part? etc..)

I will leave this open for people to leave their comments until Friday 12/12 at Noon PST. (plenty of time)
I'll be using a random number generator, and the corresponding comment number wins! (Only your first comment in the thread will count btw, but you guys and gals are more than welcome to respond to each other)

**I haven't decided which beers I'm going to be giving away just yet, but I can promise it won't be AB/Miller/Coors!**

**If you do happen to win, I will ask that you Pay-It-Forward, or Beer-It-Forward, and give away a beer or two that you really like! Of course I cannot enforce this and will not judge you if you don't choose to run a giveaway BIF, so it's completely up to you!**

I wish you all good health and happiness! Cheers everybody and thank you!!

    - Leith

Christmas Vacation. It's a tradition with my wife and her parents and brother, I see them all pretty regularly but it's nice to spend some time that doesn't involve housework or shopping trips, and just sit down and relax.

I like Christmas Vacation but the last 4 years its been a tradition with the kids to watch Polar Express. But then again my wife loves Elf. Man to tell the truth, Christmas story is a classic. Dang I like them all.

    Thanks for the chance

    Cheers

Love Actually. I know, I know, it's a really dumb, sappy movie but it has a lot of funny and touching moments.
My wife made me watch it the first time and since I am a sucker for love we watch it every year. My favorite part is during the end credits when people are meeting their friends/loved ones at the airport. Gets me every time.

Jingle all the Way. Easily my favorite movie for this time of year. I normally have it in the break room at work and subject my co-workers to watching it with me on my lunch breaks.

It's pretty hard not to laugh at Bad Santa, though I don't know that I've ever seen the entire movie. I've mostly watched chunks when it has been played on television.

Favorite though is Family Stone. I love the story and the characters. The girlfriend/wife swap isn't really plausible, but there are a lot of "real" moments in the film. The wife and I watch it at least once a year.

    Thanks OP--Nice idea.

I still enjoy watching the original "Home Alone" around Christmas time. My wife and daughter are typically with me watching it, but even if its just me, I get sucked in! I guess it just so reminiscent to me because I remember seeing it in the theaters as a kid.
My favorite part is when the bad guys are staking the house out when Kevin plays the gangster movie and throws some firecrackers in the pan....Keep the change,ya filthy animal!

Not a movie, but any of the Mr. Hankey the Christmas Poo Southpark episodes. Normally I watched alone cuz my wife is in bed so early, but my 2 year old daughter just told my wife the other day she wants to watch South Park, so maybe I won't be watching it alone this year...

Elf has become a winter/holiday staple around my house. Great movie for people of all ages. I bet Buddy would really be into Hill Farmstead BB syrup!

I'd have to say a Christmas Story with my wife or Die Hard when she's out shopping.

Every year my family and I watch the same group of movies, including Elf and Christmas vacation.

But my favorite is me will always be The Muppet Christmas Carol. Good clean fun. Never gets old.

My favorite Christmas movie is still die hard. I'll watch it with whoever wants to watch it, because some people just can't be convinced that it is, in face, a Christmas movie

If your wife feels how my wife does about South Park, I'm pretty sure you'll be watching completely alone.
