Metal Monkey brewing up for sale

Buddy of mine sent me a FB link to Metal Monkey brewing in Romeoville, IL. The post said that due to financial issues posed by Covid and other underlying factors, they will be pausing production and ownership will be putting the brewery up for sale. They also added that they will probably be open into August.

Never been to the taproom and I've only had a few brews from them through friends who live out in the far sw 'burbs. But from what I had they brewed some solid stuff.

If you live in that area pay them a visit before they close up shop.

 

Yeah it's shame. Buddy of mine lives in the Romeoville and used to go there a lot when they first opened. He brought over some of their BA releases for some bottle shares and thought they were good. They have a heavy metal theme to it which isn't everyone's cup of tea. Hopefully somebody will come in, buy the brewery and reconcept it into something a bit more approachable.
