Currently chilling in line at Aslin. They just handed out tickets to everyone in line. I don't recall them doing that this past Saturday. I like that a lot.

How many people in line? Do I have a chance after work tonight? Did you have a chance to try the new release?
Thanks for the update. First I have heard of tickets.

How tart is the passionfruit dipa?

It certainly did have a nice nip of tartness. The subtlety of dank hop flavors meshes well with the level of acidity. Really subtle vanilla, great brew.

That's good to hear...I'm kind of a purist and tend to steer away from adjunct IPAs, but that one sounds nice.

Seeing how this is now the Aslin thread/whatever, who's ready for the shit show tomorrow?

Wouldn't mind swinging by this afternoon for a pour, but was kinda skeptical if it would even last that long. Thanks!

I talked to Richard, the older owner, about this. He mentioned that prices were higher due to double the hops in the beer. I agree with this approach. He said prices will reflect cost of beer if it is double dry hopped, barrel aged, or their fruited IPAs.

For those folks in the Howard Co., Montgomery Co. areas check out Waredaca (horse farm) brewery. Went there for the first time and I tried their blueberry Gose (made with 50 lbs of blueberries) and coffee stout - both were impressive. The place is a little off the beaten path and is reminiscent of Hill Farmstead. Great for kids and families since they have plenty of outdoor seating and tables.

This is similar in price, no, actually cheaper than an ordinary craft pour in DC, and hella cheaper than a Churchkey/NRG pour. Considering the quality (and likely high cost), I'm happy to pay that. The bottle shop equivalent is a $9ish bomber. Can you name me a better/cheaper bottle in our market? I would argue Lunch is far inferior at $7-8 per 500ml - practically the same price point.

After speaking to one of the other Brewers, I think they anchor/benchmark their beers off Trillium (prior to Trillium canning). Though with Aslin you get 32oz instead of 25.4oz that Trillium offered with bottles.
