Turns out I can't make it. Thought the tasting room opened at 3pm today not 4. If anyone local is going and would be willing to pick me up a few Id greatly appreciate it. I'd give you cash plus throw in something for your trouble (WW Black Angel, something limited from Crooked Stave, etc). BM me if you are willing to hook me up. Will be out of town this weekend but can meet up next week.

I did. Got there right at 4pm. Have never had anywhere near this much hassle getting MC in the 3+ years I've been in CHS, but at least I have some and my vertical stays alive.

@rbradley , if you want we can still do the MoAS trade we agreed upon a couple weeks ago. Not sure if you really wanted MoAS or were just being kind and hooking me up with MC cause I was previously shut out. Either way is cool, just let me know.

Barrel age 2015 cake on draft at the Homefront (Westbrook)

I just saw this a few minutes ago on their website. Bourbon Barrel Aged MC (2015) was on tap today at the brewery. No word on bottles. However, they did post on FB 2 days ago that they had 16 used bourbon barrels for sale ($50 each). Sleep on that one tonight, boys and girls!!

 

Somebody said that they weren't ready yet and it would be late September early October. They are behind on city's ninja that dropping this soon wouldn't happen.

By the way the keg tapped last night.

 

Man it's really hard to keep track of what they have going on. Even if you're vigilant you can miss out. For example at 3:30pm yesterday I checked website and Facebook page and no mention of Ba Cake on draft. And they still kicked it before the day was over. This Westbrook demand is insane. Good for them, bad for me ahha.

 

They kicked it? You sure about that? My wife got a pint around 6:40pm.

As for bottles, I am pretty sure only one variant is in bottles right now. Don't hold your breath for that to be released today. The keg on tap was just a nice surprise.

 

Seems unlikely that the keg would kick last night with that raging storm going on, maybe it didn't cross the bridge but I decided not to drive during it. Park Circle felt like a tornado hit from 5:30-6:30ish.

 

Wasted time driving to that uncomfortable tasting room. Don't waste your time, can't even taste the makers mark barrels. Heavy Mexican spices, no cake flavor.
