Yeah, this one, if I drive down, will be mostly consumed by me, with 1-2 bottles going to my trade partners that have gone out of their way for me. I wont be posting any 'FT: BA MC' threads, for sure.

    Amen!

This is the best stout I have had up to this point. I have a thing for coconut, which tends to be a flavor that comes through in all 3 variants. I think the pre-trades are a bit silly. No one knows what the final limit will be. No one knows if they will even land any. Besides those points, most haven't even tried the beer. Too much excitement round here.

That's the craft beer culture these days, or at least the BA culture. I was surprised the bottle limit was that high (I was expecting a limit of 2 each), but I'll be perfectly happy to get a couple of bottle for myself and to share.

I was already planning on coming down on Friday for a little birthday weekend trip with my wife. Where does the bottle sale actually happen? Will the tasting room be accessible on Friday even if there's a whole lot of madness going on outside (or wherever the sales happen)? In other words, should I just avoid Westbrook on Friday? I'd love to snag a bottle or two, but standing in line for beer and/or dealing with a massive crowd isn't on my itinerary for my first trip to Charleston.

Fair maybe so. Bottle count is completely different brandy hunahpus was good I hope AB Mexican cake is way better cause i was disappointed by brandy hunahpus after having apple brandy hunahpus on two different occasions. The pre trades right now are almost comical considering this is a 450ish bottle release. I imagine with the flood of the ISO and the limit being cut at the release the variants are going to trade much higher than just a brandy hunahpus witch is fairly easily obtainable.

3:00 in the middle of July? Ugh. It's either gonna be hotter than balls, or hotter than balls in the middle of thunderstorms.

Cool, thanks. We might drive by around 3:30 to see what it looks like. I've never been to Charleston or had anything from the brewery, so I'll be happy with whatever tasty treats happen to be on tap. I'm not going to stress out about getting my hands on one of these...

since this is sort of turning into a carnival, maybe we could get some food trucks to come down to add to the fun. Chucktown does have good food trucks.

Ryan, you should also consider throwing into the tasting a Clown Shoes Luchador en Fuego. I've had it twice, and while one bottle was hot hot hot, the other was quite delicious.

Taking your edit into consideration, all three varieties of BAMC will still be less than the bottle count of Cali Brandy BA Huna. I don't care how many bottles they're giving out per person, the total bottles are definitely less. Any Cali Brandy BA Huna for BAMC isn't markedly unfair. Of course, as stated above, all of this matters much more once the bottles have been tasted and judged as of course much, much better than Cali Brandy BA Huna. We have much bigger whales to hunt with these things. What would a Chicago trader do??? A set for a CCK, now you're thinking.

That's wishful thinking at its finest. Looking forward to trying these variants though.

It's probably flaccid and underwhelming like a lot of their beers.
