Mexican Cake NYC

Don't believe you'll be able to find it.

 

I have seen it on tap recently out on Long Island so have to think it will be elsewhere on tap.

 

They had it at North Bab Superstar a few months ago, that's the last time I saw it. One of my favorites beers.

 

Westbrook is releasing Mex Cake in May.

 

My guess is at this point you will have to wait until it is released again, or scour beermenus and twitter ocassionally to see if one of the good beer bars/stores around town stashed a keg of it for a random tapping or special event.

 

It is getting released on May 23rd....curious if any bottles will make it up here. Everytime I go to the beer stores, I see more and more Westbrook stuff. Fingers crossed.

We had it here last year, as pointed out above, and now we have it again this year. Good look on your hunt.

 

Yeah, I meant as of when the person was asking for it. In January, they most probably were not going to find a bottle at a store.

 

Stuff was pretty easy to get last summer. I'm guessing it'll be KBS levels of annoying to find this year.

 

I've only been into hunting down these rare bottles for maybe a year and change... has it generally been the case that things have gotten much harder? (Sorry, lol!)

Triboro Beverage in Astoria has 2013 & 2014 MC on Tap...got growlers of each

 

Seems to have swamped the area all at once - if you head out today or tomorrow, a couple of phone calls should yield you as much as you want.

That said, prices are pretty rangey on it - seen it from $15 (Whole Foods) to over $20.

 

Triboro beverage was awesome last year! Owner was super helpful and helped me get a case last year!
