It's coming out soon and will see some distribution, so just wait for that. Not to NC, though, because dumb. Not super limited like the BA ones. If I had one, I'd trade it 1:2 for BBPT5 all day. Personally I think it's not worth it compared to all the other spices+chocolate stouts that are available. I'm clearly in the not-super-pro-Westbrook minority, though.
Bomb! has become one of my favorite stouts and just tried bible belt and its equally as amazing. I just wanted to get something with that similar flavor profile including the chili peppers and spices. Anything else anyone recommends if not Mexican cake?
Bomb! is incredible. Probably a bit more complex than MC, but I think MC is much more drinkable. You can finish a bomber of MC, but I'm of the opinion there is a reason Bomb! is in 12 oz bottles (which I like). Abraxas is another and El Luchador from Clown Shoes (though it's not in the category of bomb!, MC, or Abraxas).
@ChrisChagnon sounds like you need to try Huna my man You should be able to trade for MC with good CT/New England limited stuff
Oh yes I actually had Huna last weekend and it was incredible. Hoping to find something that was a little easier to obtain with the same type of flavors going on
Bomb! and MC do not have the same thickness that Huna does. That's my favorite aspect of that beer. But the answer to your question is get more Bomb!, cheapest, relatively available and tradeable.
I did last year's regular Mexican Cake for 2x BBPT5. I'd do it again this year so you are right on in my book.
