I'm looking for some opinions. I traded for a 2015 Mexican Cake recently. Westbrook is in my distribution area, and I will have access to future year's supply. However, I have not had this beer before. Similarly, Bells is in my distribution area, and I have had my eye on trying Black Note Stout for a while. I am not certain that it gets distributed to the stores in my area. So my question is: do I try to trade the Cake for Black Note, and get more cake next year? Or do I drink the Cake and keep my eyes out for Black Note? Thanks for your input!
Drink the beer! Simple enough. If you find more Cake next year, trade it for Black Note if you dont get that.
Agree with the rest. Always try a beer before you trade one away. MC is one of the beers I am always looking for more of (along with Pirate Bomb). You might find that you would not want to trade any bottles of it at all if you enjoy it as much as I do.
very much this. i also don't get the trading to retrade mentality. with shipping rates these days to trade for a mexican cake and then to re-trade that for black note...that black note is costing you probably $40 in shipping alone. the only re-trades i have ever done was when a trader wanted something specific i didn't have that i had to trade for and in those instances i often try to work 3 way so i don't have to ship twice.
