Mexican coffee cake

This has never been released (in bottles). Westbrook has served this only on tap at the brewery and it appeared last night at the Westbrook/Edmond's Oast party. I wish they would bottle it, because it is a fantastic brew!

Edit: I guess I fell asleep on this one....apparently it's out in bottles today.

 

Did you get any? I've been busy doing 'kid' stuff this evening and missed out on this.

I just went in with the attentions to just try the lemon coconut weisse. I'm sitting in my car waiting for 4pm then I see like 20 people in line. Thought to myself guess it's just going to be a busy day. Get inside see them selling something. Without hesitation I get in line to find it being cake. I got excited then realized its waxed and its coffee! Lucky find for me for sure. Good day to stop in for a beer. I wish the label said coffee on it somewhere. Regardless I'm happy!

 

Limited to one per person or sold out already??

 

Limit was 2 per person. Not sure if it sold out. As posted above it was a silent release and still a line waiting to purchase before the brewery opened today (not sure how that works). Anyways, my guess would be yes, but with the two bottle limit maybe not. I was there at 4:30pm (about 30min after opening), and it was moving fast but far from gone. 2.5 hours were left in the day though.

 

Ha I bet we passed each other. I left about the time you got there.

 

My buddy @rbradley has sent me his version of coffee cake where he adds coffee to reg Mexican cake and then purges the bottle to re carb it. My goodness is it good! Hoping to trade some stuff for a bottle of this!

 

Any word if they are going to bottle the Mexican Coconut Cake? That just sounds delicious to me!

 

We will all find out after they release it......

Yes that is a nice way to put it.............

 

This is the way it should happen. You as a loyal customer show up on a random day to buy some beer and are rewarded with a rare beer with little to no extra effort!

 

They had plenty of cases this afternoon when they opened. I doubt they'll have any after today.

 

Anybody know if they still have bottles for sell?

 

I was there today around 4pm and they still had some. 2 bottle limit per person.
